Hudson Harder is a dedicated educator, advocate, and community leader committed to building a more just, equitable, and prosperous Oklahoma. As a public-school teacher with deep Tulsa roots, Hudson understands the challenges facing working families, educators, and vulnerable communities. His campaign is driven by a vision of bold, practical solutions to address housing affordability, strengthen public education, protect democracy, and uplift families across House District 71.
Hudson comes from a long line of educators. His grandmother taught at Jenks Elementary, his aunt is a middle school band director, and his mother is a Ph.D. professor of mathematics.
Hudson graduated from Jenks in 2018 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2021. Thanks to Oklahoma’s Promise and his own hard work—juggling jobs, schoolwork, and scholarships for study in Mexico and Jerusalem—he graduated debt-free.
After years immersed in academics, education remains at the heart of his calling. Today, Hudson teaches history and economics at Webster High School, working every day to prepare young Oklahomans for their futures.
Beyond the classroom, Hudson is deeply engaged in his community.
He spends his evenings teaching English to refugees at the YWCA, cashiering at a local grocery store, and volunteering for grassroots political campaigns, including Mayor Monroe Nichols’ historic race. Hudson is a committed member of All Souls Unitarian Church, where he attends services with his long-term girlfriend, Quinn.
Hudson believes that working families are the heart and soul of Tulsa. In a world of rising costs and economic challenges, we need a leader who will fight for better jobs, fair wages, and opportunities for every hardworking Oklahoman. Hudson is dedicated to bringing sustainable, well-paying jobs to District 71. We can make Tulsa a community where every family has the chance to succeed. Together, we can build the Tulsa we all deserve.
Hudson’s roots run deep in this community. He knows the struggles working families face daily like the need for affordable healthcare and safe neighborhoods. Hudson is committed to pushing for policies that prioritize health, safety, and well-being for all. He will work tirelessly to ensure that Tulsa is a place where our families can thrive.
Hudson knows that the strength of Tulsa lies in its people. He believes every working person deserves to be heard and represented. Hudson is passionate about expanding voter access and making sure every Tulsan has a seat at the table. He’s running to listen, to serve, and to fight for a better future for our working families.
Hudson is ready to fight for a future that works for everyone—not just the privileged few. With his experience as a teacher, community leader, and advocate, he will bring fresh energy and bold ideas to the State Capitol. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Oklahoma.
